Privacy Policy

Security, Simplified is currently a static information website. It does not offer user accounts, payments, contact submissions, or newsletter sign-ups. This policy describes the website's current data handling.

1. Data used to deliver the website

The site is delivered through Cloudflare. Like other web delivery and security services, Cloudflare processes request information needed to serve and protect the site. This can include an IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser or device information, referring page, and security signals.

This information may be available to the site operator through Cloudflare's security, diagnostic, or account features. It is used for delivery, abuse prevention, reliability, and troubleshooting—not to build advertising profiles. 2. Information kept in your browser

The site uses browser local storage for two features:

• theme remembers whether you selected the light or dark theme.
• smb_security_assessment_v1 stores Assessment answers, progress, and generated results so you can resume on the same browser.

The website does not transmit Assessment answers or results to the site operator. They remain on the device and browser profile where you entered them. Avoid entering names, credentials, customer information, or other personal or sensitive information in Assessment responses.

You can remove Assessment data with the Assessment's reset controls, or remove either item through your browser's site-data settings. Clearing browser storage also removes it.

3. Search, cookies, and analytics

Site search runs in your browser using a static Pagefind index. Search terms are not sent to the site operator or to an external search provider.

The site's own code does not set cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled at the delivery layer and automatically adds a cookie-free performance beacon. It records aggregate page-view and performance information such as page path, referring site, country, device type, browser, operating system, and Core Web Vitals. Cloudflare states that this service does not track individual visitors across sites or collect or use visitors' personal data.

No advertising, behavioural profiling, email automation, or marketing tracker is configured. Cloudflare may also process request and security information, and use essential security mechanisms, according to the site's Cloudflare configuration and Cloudflare's policies.

4. Personal information submissions

There is currently no form for submitting a name, email address, company name, message, or other personal information. If a contact, subscription, or account feature is introduced, the feature and this policy must be updated before collection begins to explain consent, purpose, storage, access, correction, retention, disclosure, and complaints.

5. External links

Guides and resource pages link to external websites. When you follow one of those links, the destination receives information associated with a normal web request and applies its own privacy policy. Security, Simplified does not control those sites.

6. Security and retention

The site uses HTTPS and restrictive browser security headers. Browser-local data remains until you reset it, clear site data, or the browser removes it. Cloudflare controls retention for information processed within its service, subject to the site's account configuration and Cloudflare's terms.

7. Changes and contact

This policy will be reviewed when the site's data handling or service providers change. The date above records a policy review, not merely a website deployment.

A verified public privacy contact is not yet published. One must be added before the website begins collecting personal information directly. Until then, do not use the site to send personal information to the operator.
